What to Expect During a Professional Fence Installation

A Professional Fence Installation: What to Expect

For a property owner, a new fence is no small matter and it is natural to have some questions. Is it worth hiring someone for the job? How much time will it take? What kind of prep is involved?

We are fielding those inquiries at Pinnacle Fencing Solutions on a regular basis. Having put in our share of fences around Phoenix, AZ since 2005, we know what our clients want to hear. Feel free to call us at (602)-560-8479 or simply put down the phone and see if this guide has the answers you are looking for.

Consultation and Estimate

Our fence installation process begins with a conversation. Prior to any digging, an installer from our side will come out to get a read on the site and your vision. It is an open discussion about what is required, whether that is more privacy, a way to keep the pets in or just to put a better face on the home.

There is no need to make a commitment until you have seen the figures. We provide a complimentary estimate that will cover the all-in cost without any fine print, a projected timeline, the scope of the area and suitable materials. We will also factor in any drainage or topographical issues. Should there be HOA bylaws or local ordinances in play, let us know at that point; our crew has the experience to iron out such details so they do not cause trouble down the road.

Preparation

Once the estimate is approved, we move forward, but safety is paramount. The first order of business is to have the utility lines marked so as to avoid any contact with gas or water when we are excavating.

That said, a little forethought on your part will make for a less complicated day. We recommend you clear away any furniture or planters in the vicinity, trim back overhanging branches, and park the cars elsewhere to give us room to work. If the line runs close to a neighbor’s property, a heads-up is in order and it is best to keep the animals inside. Do not skimp on the prep or you will only invite delays.

The Work

Now comes the heavy lifting. The posts are the foundation and must be unyielding, so we set them in concrete. In the heat of Phoenix a proper job by the pros is called for; one does not get the same results with a hasty do-it-yourself method.

After the posts are in, we attend to the rails, pickets, and gates, checking that everything is level and latches properly. On a typical residential lot it is a couple of days’ work depending on the ground conditions.

Before we clean up after ourselves, we will walk the grounds with you to make sure everything is to your liking and share a word or two on maintenance. Our 4.9-star rating on Google is evidence of the trust we have with our neighbors here in Phoenix, and we back our work with a full satisfaction guarantee.

Pinnacle Fencing Solutions can take the stress out of the equation from beginning to end. Give us a ring at (602)-560-8479 for a free estimate. We are in the office Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and would be glad to build you a fence that is built to last.
